Rehabilitation of forests and land (Critical Land Rehabilitation Movement(Gerakan Rehabilitasi Lahan Kritis), improved management of Grand Forest Parks (Taman Hutan Raya), conservation of water catchment areas and priority watersheds, development of forest resources, forest fire management and forest patrol)

RPJMD Period 2013-2018
Supportive Mission Statement in RPJMD Mission 4: To establish West Java that is tranquil, and to develop strategic infrastructure that is sustainable, with target 1) increased environmental carrying capacity and quality of disaster management.
Supportive Policy Direction in RPJMD: Agriculture and Forestry Strategy: Restore area of primary paddy field that has been converted from agricultural land into non-agricultural land by designating new paddy fields to achieve sustainable agricultural land; Improve the quality and function of protected areas by improving the management quality of protection forest (Hutan Lindung)and non-forest areas; Increase rehabilitation and conservation efforts of the environment. Policy direction: Improvement of forest and land rehabilitation efforts as well as natural resources and biodiversity conservation; Improvement of rehabilitation and conservation efforts in coastal and marine areas. Programs: Water Resources Structuring Program with a focus on organizing watershed, securing raw water, and constructing and rehabilitating sites and reservoirs; Protected Areas Management Program.

Strategy: Develop new renewable energy sources and conserve energy, mineral resources, geological resources and groundwater.
