Mitigation Activities: Agriculture and Forestry

1. Development of sustainable land crops
2. Utilization of livestock manure into compost/organic fertilizer
3. Additional programs: use of organic fertilizer to maintain the quality of the land, construction and maintenance of irrigation channels to meet water needs, especially for agricultural activities, sustainable food crop land to prevent the conversion of agricultural land into non-agricultural land

1. Increased monitoring of forest estates and firm action against illegal loggers
2. Rehabilitation of forests and lands
3. Rehabilitation, reclamation, and revitalization of abandoned and degraded lands
4. Application of program to plant 20 trees for every 1 tree cut (tebang 1 tanam 20 pohon)

Supportive Mission Statement in RPJMD Mission 3: To develop the region�ۡ����s economic competitiveness that is environmentally- and community-based, through utilizing local resources and geographical advantage, with goal (2) achieved sustainable management of natural resources and improved environmental quality.
Supportive Policy Direction in RPJMD: Agriculture and Forestry

Policy direction: Increase sustainable natural resources management in mining venture (good mining practice), in forest use (sustainable yield production), in marine fisheries exploitation (maximum sustainable yield/MSY), in plantation industry (sustainable tress); Improve protection and restoration of natural resources (rehabilitation, conservation, restoration, reclamation, revitalization, transplantation, restocking); Improve guidance, prevention and eradication of illegal mining, illegal logging, illegal fishing; Encourage development of urban forest in each district/city capital and open green spaces at certain locations; Perform maintenance and rehabilitation of mangrove areas both inside and outside the forest estates; Develop green office environment; Mobilize National Movement for One Billion Tree Planting; Enhance efforts to prevent, control and resolve forest fires, water and air pollution; Encourage revitalization of watershed by applying the concept of one river one management in order to restrain the distribution, frequency and volume of flood and landslides.
