Mitigation Activities Description
Mitigation Activities: Agriculture and Forestry

Agriculture:
1. Agricultural/plantation Production Improvement Program (such as by supplying low-emission rice seeds for farmers, optimizing land use, expanding farmlands and plantations in unproductive/degraded lands)
2. Land and Water Management Program (such as by repairing and maintaining irrigation networks, setting patterns and irrigation techniques)
3. Environmental and Natural Resources Utilization Program (such as by applying precision farming or fertilizer as needed, expanding land and waste management technology without burning)
4. Farming Technology Improvement Program (such as by using agricultural waste for energy, using organic fertilizer, and expanding biogas and food technology to reduce GHG emissions from livestock)

Forestry:
1. Pressing the rate of deforestation and forest degradation
2. Increase major planting in limited production forest zones
3. Maintain forested land cover and improve security efforts of forest fires and illegal logging
4. Implement good forest planning and good forest management in people's forests (Hutan Rakyat)and state forests(Hutan Negara)5. Optimizing land and water resources without deforesting

Mitigation Activities: Energy, Transport, and Industry

Energy:
1. Training and improvement program in electricity (energy independent villages (Desa Mandiri Energi) from Hydro Power Plant/Micro-Hydro Power Plant, Solar Power Plant)
2. Expansion and Application Program for new and renewable energy sources (switch use of fuel in industrial/commercial to biogas from biomass, biogas for household)

Transport:
1. Development of adequate transportation infrastructure
2. Management of public transport system
3. Efficient use of fuel

Industry:
1. Small and Medium Industries Development Program
2. Industrial Structure Management Program
3. Capacity improvement program of industrial technology
4. Capacity improvement program for science and technology in production system

Mitigation Activities: Waste

1. Shift from the existing pit latrine system to the septic system / septic tank
2. Dredging of sludge from river or swamp retention
3. Rehabilitation of Landfill facilities from unmanaged deep system into semi-aerobic landfill
4. Development of Integrated Waste Disposal Site (Tempat Pengelolaan Sampah Terpadu)
5. Waste Bank
6. Recovery of methane gas
7. Socialization of 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) Principle and garbage separation
8. Provision for composting facilities and socialization of domestic garbage
9. Composting organic waste with dig-and-pile system
10. SocializationPROKASIH/SUPERKASIHprogram
11. Monitoring the quality of surface water in rivers, swamps, and a retention pond
12. Socialization of Local Action Plan for Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction (RAD-GRK)waste management sector in cities and districts
13. Development ofRAD GRKinformation system for West Sulawesi
